The Belle Epoque, Knutsford Wedding - Beth and Sean

Wedding photography at the Belle Epoque makes my job very easy. What a stunning venue! And Beth and Sean were so happy and in love, the whole day was a joy from start to finish.

Beth and Sean really made their wedding their own. We were there at their pre-wedding photoshoot when they got matching tattoos. They also brought their dog and cat! What a great start to this whole process! Read more about their fabulous wedding at The Belle Epoque, Knutsford, below!

Wedding photography at The Belle Epoque

We love a good city wedding, but The Belle Epoque is quite unique. Set in the centre of the town of Knutsford this venue is a beautiful gem nestled along a cobbled high street. If young wizards and witches from the world of Harry Potter had been buying their first wands next door, it would not have surprised me. The road is very much of the period from which is was built and is single track and barely room for one car, perfect for a confetti shot, more about that later.

Inside the Belle Epoque

Inside is deceptively spacious, feeling homely and welcoming throughout. The rear of the venue has a small paved area with privet bushes and a flowered arch, perfect for an outdoor ceremony. The style was wonderful and very suited to the character of the venue. Bright and colourful wild flowers and a very cool up-cycled style including table names on empty wine bottles. Beth looked stunning, a striking and beautiful dress with a long flowing lace veil. The ceremony was fun and full of love and personality, Sean even chose to have a best Man and Woman as he couldn't pick between his closest friends. A wedding day can really be anything you want it to be.

The morning with Beth was so relaxed and fun. The bridal suite has an outside patio area so everyone could chill and have breakfast in the sun. Perfection!

Hand in hand in the street — Knutsford Wedding Photography

We love to stop traffic and celebrate to the sound of congratulations-horns! We normally like to create two lines of guests so the bride and groom can dance down the centre as everyone covers them in plumes of petals.

Knutsford is a beautiful backdrop with light stone walls with flowers and green ivy knitted around the brickwork. Beth and Sean had an idea for a photo in front of a cute little antique store that had caught their eye on the way in, it was beautiful. We had to stop traffic, but everyone was in good sports, especially when they realised it was for a wedding.

Sean dropped Beth down and gave her a casanova style kiss. The town went wild, onlookers cheered and cars beeped in joy. Some people say that the world stands still when people are in love, and it takes witnessing a moment like this to truly believe it.

Sparklers wedding photography in the night

As the evening fell, it was a warm and clear night. The wine was flowing and everyone was having such a lovely evening, reflecting and celebrating on such a happy day. We normally like to take some evening off-camera flash portraits when the light gets low, but the couple had a spectacular idea. They gathered everyone outside and passed around sparklers to all their guests. They held them in the air around the couple as they kissed. What a moment!

We also had some fun drawing with sparklers, arranging the couple in a heart. It took a few attempts but the effort was more than worth it!

Congratulations Beth and Sean, thank you for letting us share in your day!
