Best Day Ever... Hillbark Hotel Winter Wedding
Vicky and Paul got married at the Hillbark Hotel, Wirral.
Their goal for the day, and their tagline, was “Best Day Ever…” and you know what? It really was!
The Hillbark is stunning, with a fountain outside and all the classical charm you could want inside. Everyone was so excited in the morning as everyone got ready.
Love. So full of love.
In a way, Vicky and Paul really reminded me of myself and my husband. They were high-school sweethearts, and have grown up together as people and as a partnership. It’s so beautiful to see. I’ve been with my husband since we were just fourteen and fifteen(!) so I just LOVE to see some kindred spirits getting married and making that commitment. It made me a bit teary-eyed I’m not going to lie!
Capturing their love and laughter was the easiest thing I’ve ever done. They were both so joyful and the brisk wintery weather didn’t hinder our spirits!

With daylight not being on our side, we decided to go out for some evening portraits. The grounds at the Hillbark hotel are superb for this. We had the whole place to ourselves and had loads of fun! Having the ability to use lighting at night, outdoors or indoors, is always a great skill to have as a UK wedding photographer, as you never know what the weather will do.
