Wedding Photography at Hallmark Sefton Park Liverpool — Liz and Sean
Liz and Sean had an autumn wedding at the Hallmark Sefton Park in Liverpool.
The Hallmark is a wonderful venue at the best of times, but during autumn the colours at Sefton park really pop. It’s fab! Liz got ready in the bridal suite at the Hallmark which is a classically beautiful room. There was plenty of space for her bridesmaids to have a few drinks and a relax while they all got ready. The atmosphere was so chilled — it was a wonderful morning to be a part of! Also, a lady after my own heart, Liz opted for some customised trainers rather than more traditional shoes. I’m sure they’ll be a great memento for years to come.
The wedding had an autumn/sunflower colour theme
with beautiful fresh sunflowers all around. It worked so well, and was an absolute joy to photograph. During the winter and later autumn months at the Hallmark Sefton Park, there is the option to get married indoors, rather than the outdoors area. The Glass House is a beautiful space — so much light! — it’s one of our favourite ceremony spaces for this reason. Everything feels modern and cozy and romantic.
What’s not to love? It was a beautiful moment to witness when Liz and Sean sealed their vows by lighting a ceremonial candle. They brought their twin children up and made some family-orientated vows with them.
Outside at Hallmark Sefton Park
With the weather being so mild, we had some group photos outside in the scenic garden at the Hallmark. Liz and Sean opted for bubbles rather than confetti — the kids loved it! — it was also time to check out the decorations in for the wedding breakfast. I absolutely loved the way Liz and Sean labelled the guest’s seats. Rather than a typical name card, each place had a photo of either Liz or Sean with the guest. It really showed how they had a relationship with each and every person they chose to share their wedding with.
Sefton Park Couple Portraits
After the lovely ceremony we ventured out in to Sefton park for some couple and family portraits. We shoot so many weddings here — the Hallmark is our resident venue — that we know Sefton park inside and out by now! We can hit all the most scenic spots in quick succession. Jamie, one of the wonderful managers at the venue, even gave the couple a lift to one of our favourite spots. Honestly, the staff have been just amazing every time we’ve worked there. The Hallmark always makes every couple feel like part of the family.
Liz and Sean were blessed with some stunning autumn colours, and it was a dry and mild day. Absolutely perfect! We used a sheet on the ground to keep Liz’s dress free of fallen autumn leaves and had a blast together getting some great couple shots in the park.
We even stopped off on the outskirts of Sefton park to get some family photos with their beautiful twin children.
Party Time!
With all the formal photos out of the way, there was nothing else to do but party! There’s always a great atmosphere in the Hallmark during the evening, and we love to get some action shots of everyone having a boogie on the dance floor. Liz and Sean opted to turn the Glass House into an acoustic karaoke party. It was so much fun. All the guests enjoyed it. I loved the informal, cozy vibe. This is the Hallmark all over: you have the spaces available and it’s up to you how you use them.
Also… I just have to point out that you get an actual SWORD to cut your cake with. I love that! Liz and Sean had a blast partying the night away with loved ones. It was an absolute joy to capture it all.
